‘ Fishing and winning Kota’s American Dream Tournament was one of the most memorable experiences of my life!
I got to experience Japan in a very exclusive way with Kota as my tour guide and host,
ultimately gaining a new appreciation for the Japanese way of life and their passion for fishing.
I also love fishing Lake Wheeler and visiting Decatur, AL, so you can expect to see me again in December to defend my American Dream title! ‘

I am glad to know that Jason had a good time in Japan. What interesting to me was he had viewed Japan as an American person. His view was different from what I noticed before.

Moreover, knowing his experience of being Japan for a week helped widening his view of life made me feel like a reward of virtue. I would like to thank very much again for all the people who helped this event successful. This year, we will have American Dream tournament USA on December 3, 2011 at Lake Wheeler hosted by Decatur-Morgan County DVB. For more information, please visit www.kotaamericandream.com/usa
I will be writing my diary in English and Japanese at http://kotakiriyama.com/blog in future!

Captain ‘ Sencho Sugito’ guide service just started!

They got on Sencho’s Basscat Jaguar and run towards south end of the lake.

They tried with the first moving lures first, then switched to soft plastic.
Jason likes Japanese green tea!

After a while, Sencho started to make a few casts, then

Nice 5 pounder! Fish must got turned on that Jason and Mr. S started to catch fish!!

They caught most of their fish on Jig-rig by Owner hooks with Yuki-bug. This bait is designed by Sencho Sugito. He spends most of his time on the water as a professional guide on Lake Biwa and he knows what they like especially on this World Record bass lake ‘ Biwa’

Today’s biggest fish was over 9 pounder that Sencho hooked inside the grass by Jig-rig.

We went to dinner at ‘ Kaiten-sushi’ where Sushi plates go around the tables, then you pick what you like to eat. Jason was impressed by this new Sushi presentation.

After Sushi, Jason got hit by the jet lag and went bed for a good night sleep. Well, let’s see what happen tomorrow!!

We have been to Narita Temple after breakfast.
At this place, Jason stopped by almost every store to see what they sell and do. He was amazed to see how fresh eel has been prepared in front of us.

Jason was impressed by every temple structures which had its own unique architectual design.

I showed him my amulet that I purchased here in 2008, then I won the Bassmaster Elite series on Lake Erie. He immediately purchased the same one!

He also took a lot of pictures of the Garden of Buddha. ‘ The harmony of nature and human being ‘ is expressed through this Buddha’s garden.

after visiting Narita temple, we started to drive to the World Record Bass lake ‘ Biwa ‘ He was also amazed by the skyscrapers of Tokyo and the traffic jam’ Thank you for a long driving, Mr S from Bluedge Company.

We arrived Lake Biwa late at night. Even with a little sleep, we are all ready for fishing lake Biwa!! Let’s see what happen!?
