Just got new bait from Japan!

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Today is the last day of 2009, and I just received the new proto type bait from Jackall this morning.  As you can see, it is a kind of crankbait, but it does something more than just a crankbait offer.  Well, I would like to test this bait and let you guys know about this new technique.

Still Fishing!!

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

It has been cold and cold, but I am still fishing!  I caught this nice spotted bass on my new rig with Sasuteki Craw on trailer.  I am not catching many fish, but when I get one, it is usually a big fish.  Papa Doug has been catching well also.

Basic training

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

I have been trying to jog whenever I can.  Fishing Bassmaster Elite series tournaments require a lot of energy and stamina.  This basic jogging provided me a lot of benefit.  I can fish better and think better.

My favorite Cranking rod

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

This is my new favorite cranking rod.  It is about 7.5 feet and has a super flexible blank.  It is so light that I feel like Im using 7 ‘ rod.  It is the perfect combination with DC reel and braided line.

Basscat meeting!?

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

I went to see my friends at Basscat.  It was cold in Mountain Home, AR, and they were busy building boats one after another.  I saw many new Jaguars last time when I visited there. This time, I saw many Puma FTDs there, and some colors were really nice.  I spoke to Ivan for a while this time for a secret meeting!???

Coosa River Bassmasters

Saturday, December 12th, 2009

I attended to the Coosa River Bassmasters meeting.  They meet once a month and I enjoy seeing all fishing friends and talk about what’s new to their fishing and lives.   Some of them talked about the 2 day club fishing trip to south Alabama, and they enjoyed barbecue there.  They also talked about locations for the next year tournament.  Each member voted where they would like to visit.  There are so many good lakes in Alabama to choose from.  Some of them wrote the Lake Biwa where 22+ pounder bass was caught as a joke!!  I talked about my American Dream tournament in Japan, and I am thinking about having that tournament in the US  in near future.  I would like to take winning team to Japan to fish that Lake Biwa.  I would like American people to see what Japan look and fish like.  It will be a once in a lifetime experience for anyone who will visit there!!!  I will update that news through this blog so please check back often.

Aragon again!?

Friday, December 11th, 2009

Jason just sent me a photo of his nice fish on Lake Norman.

photo

He was just cranking Aragon MR in Crawfish color on rip rap by the main lake.  He had 2 more fish like this in the same way.  He likes the underwater sound of jointed body and less hang-up feature of Aragon series crank bait.

New Rig!

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

I caught nice fish on my new rig here.

DSCF0006

I started to use this rig when I did not get a bite on jigs.  It is a weedless rig that I can throw in the cover.  It seem to work when weather changed quickly and fish did not want too bulky bait.  I caught some smaller fish on texas rig also but they were much smaller average fish for tournament.
